We do what we do as missionaries supported by people like you.

We also prefer to give away as much content as we can, and not cloud that issue with a lot of public requests. That said, we do have specific needs that are met by people who believe the work we do has value.

If you'd like a short list of immediate financial needs, you can find it HERE.

    Thanks!

Randomonium: Saturday Morning Edition

As busy as the last few weeks, there’ve been very little time for random thoughts, let alone a Randomoniom post, but it’s high time.

Ever wanted to ask a question regarding adoption, life with 7, IHOP, or who does my hair?  Here’s your chance – I’ll be recording a Questions Edition of the yet unnamed, hopefully regular audio series and posting it on Monday.   Email me here with ‘question’ in the subject line.

I made myself an Americano this morning, something that always makes me think of Americano Affectionado Shawn Blanc.  If your bent toward nerdery, you need to check out Shawn’s blog, shawnblanc.net.  It’s about tech, how we do work, writing, and occasionally, americanos.  Really, it’s about more than that.  It’s about a guy who dreamed of writing, really loved gizmos and processes, and had the guts to go for it with remarkable transparency.   I read it for the info, but enjoy watching the journey as well.

Somehow, in the course of the past few weeks, I found time to read The Floor of Heaven, a historical account of the Yukon gold rush.   If you love people, you should learn to read history, because while we have progressed technologically, we haven’t progressed much in the way of ambitions, motivations, or personal pitfalls.  You can read history and see people you know – including yourself.

Today we’re off to a wedding.  Derek and Renee Loux girls, Keyola and Teyolla – identical twins – are, in true storybook fashion, marrying identical twins!  I’m already concerned for the poor random guy with double vision who, although tempted to say “now you know how it feels!” will actually be seeing quadruple.   We’ll also get to see the official Bohlender family paparazzi  Shelley Paulson, who is shooting the event.

Enjoy the 4th of July weekend – remember, I’ll be answering some questions on Monday…but you can wait until your neighbors quit firing bottle rockets to listen if you like.
