• Immediate Needs

    updated 8.29.11

We do what we do as missionaries supported by people like you.

We also prefer to give away as much content as we can, and not cloud that issue with a lot of public requests. That said, we do have specific needs that are met by people who believe the work we do has value.

If you'd like a short list of immediate financial needs, you can find it HERE.

    Thanks!

New Offices!

For the full effect, you need to listen to this as a musical backdrop to this exciting post.

In a turn of events that I could not have anticipated…uh, on Monday, we now have the keys to a property that will serve as the headquarters for Hannah’s Dream Adoptions, the Childrens’ Justice Initiative, and The Zoe Foundation.  Located about halfway between IHOP-KC’s Red Bridge campus and the FCF building, we have four offices, a reception area, a conference room (a conference room, ya’ll!), two restrooms and a kitchen.

It should be noted that Hannah’s Dream has operated for a year out of an office the size of our new receptionist area (I am not joking) and The Zoe Foundation has operated alternately between a couple of laptops, my little home office, the Cataldo’s dining room and the large table at Dunn Brothers’ Coffee.  The Childrens’ Justice Initiative has been relegated to my Timbuk2 bag.  It cannot be over emphasized how very cool this development is.

What does this mean?

Growth.  These teams are going somewhere and need volunteers.  We’ve struggled with where to put the great people who’d like to help.  Now we’ve got a little room to roll up our sleeves.

Synergy.  There is a lot of cross over in these ministries.  We lean on one another for ideas and work together on almost everything we do.  This makes it a little easier and saves us from spending $2 on a cup of coffee just to get a table to sit at.

Opportunity.  In this space, we can expand our services to include classes and small group coaching and info meetings.  What about Home Study Paperwork Parties – multi-couple, lots of pizza and number 2 lead pencils with an Adoption Consultant on site to help with the hard questions?

Be watching for an open house…once we get moved in, of course!   And if anyone has a conference table we can have….holla!
