• Immediate Needs

    We do what we do as missionaries supported by people like you.

    We also prefer to give away as much content as we can, and not cloud that issue with a lot of public requests. That said, we do have specific needs that are met by people who believe the work we do has value.

    If you'd like a short list of immediate financial needs, you can find it HERE.

Randomonium :: Looking Forward Edition

Well, we survived onething.  That’s how we measure success around here.

For those who don’t know, onething is IHOP-KC’s annual confrestravaganza.  It began with a few hundred people ten years ago and this year drew upwards of thirty thousand registrants.  Or to put it in perspective, that’s three hundred thousand fingers on sixty thousand hands held high in the air, waiving like they just don’t care, although in reality you’d need to trim that number back a little to allow for high school shop accidents.  Still, even two hundred, nine eight thousand, three hundred and sixty two fingers is a lot of fingers.

Having survived, we return to our regularly scheduled programming, which is to say, get back to the missions base, the prayer room, and our roles.   The Zoe Foundation is looking at a likely February event in Fredricksburg, VA as well as a March event in Colorado Springs.  In between there some where, the lovely Kelsey and I are taking a writing retreat where we both hope to make a lot of headway on books we’re writing.   Later in the spring we’ll head to Alaska for a conference (Kelsey is speaking, I’m the escort and reindeer deterrent), and soon it will be summer on The Compound again.

Follow this spot in weeks to come for book excerpts and more coherent thoughts.  As I might have mentioned, we did just survive onething.
