I’m up far earlier than I intended, because Piper is up, and Piper does nothing alone. She can’t fathom alone. She is the life of the party, a social gravitational force all her own, so here we are, both awake. One willing, one not.
I’d be getting up soon anyway, though, because this morning we are taking Piper to Mercy South, where she will get tubes put in her ears. She’s been plagued with ear infections for a long time and our doctors have finally recommended this step. It’s an easy procedure but we’ve never gone this road before. And it’s Piper. So we’re naturally a little concerned.
If you’re reading this Monday morning, will you say a prayer for Pipey? Her mother and father say thanks!
